Loving Hands Pet Sitting is owned and operated by Karilon Kilpatrick of Keystone Heights, Florida. Karilon started Loving Hands Pet Sitting because of her love for all animals and to provide a much needed service to the community. Karilon began the business in October 2005, starting part time and since then has grown into a successful full time business!
This is a business of love and she believes that success comes from what we do. Building a solid relationship with people and their pets, is what Loving Hands Pet Sitting can offer to all of it's clientile. Pampering, cuddling and keeping your pets routine the same is top priority. Keeping a careful eye on your home and giving it a lived-in look, is also top priority.
Karilon has worked to obtain Pet Sitter Certification through
The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (www.petsitters.org) by upgrading her skills in the management and understanding of the health and welfare of pet animals.
She is also certified in Pet First Aid through the American Red Cross and has worked as a kennel technician for Alachua County Animal Services in Gainesville for many years. She has also worked as an adoption counselor for Gainesville Pet Rescue and as a veterinarian assistant for Lake Area Animal Hospital. She has gained valuable experience in working with show horses, as well.
Karilon's own pet family includes eight cats and two Chihuahuas. She is an avid foster parent for the SPCA to many cats and kittens that await a permanent home. She continues to further her education with reading many pet journals and keeping up-to-date with the latest information available in the pet sitting industry. She also attends the annual pet sitting conference each year that is presented by NAPPS (the national association of professional pet sitters). She helps many pet owners find answers to all their pet concerns and needs. Loving Hands Pet Sitting offers a quarterly newsletter to all their clients, which has informative pet information and provides regular up-dates on the business.
Presently, Loving Hands Pet Sitting does not employ any staff, other than
Karilon and her husband, David, who serves as a back up in emergencies. As our business continues to grow, future plans will demand hiring more staff. Over the past few years, the in home pet care industry has expanded rapidly, as satisfied pet owners have discovered the perfect solution for their beloved pets! Pet owners no longer have to impose on family, friends or neighbors to feed and care for their pets.
